The Rotary Foundation has been extremely important in local and international community service, always facilitating a better quality of life. I believe in it, now, and will continue believing in The Rotary Foundation into the future, as it promotes peace, brings individuals together, maintains high ethical standards, effectively raises funds, and finances projects in important areas such as education, health and human development.

Wanderlino retired in 1990 from two careers. He served in upper-management for Banco do Brasil from 1959 to 1990, serving as General Manager for the last four years; and he was professor of Linguistics and Portuguese at the State University of Montes Claros from 1968-1990. In retirement Wanderlino continues to serve as a corporate trainer for the bank.  He also served as president of the Minas Bank Employees Union, president of the Montes Claros Academy of Literature, president of the local city council, county culture secretary, director of the Municipal Board on Cultural and Historical Patrimony, and delegate to the Freemasonry Supreme Council.

A Rotarian since 1969, Wanderlino is a member of the Rotary club of Montes Claros Norte, where he served as club president in 1991. He is currently serving a second term as president.  He has served as District Membership Development Chairperson (1998-99), District Trainer (1998-2001), District Extension Chairperson (2001-present).  Wanderlino has founded 20 Rotary clubs.

自1969年成為扶輪社員，Wanderlino 是 Montes Claros Norte扶輪社員，於1991年擔任扶輪社社長。他目前第二次擔任社長。1998-99年度擔任地區社員發展委員會主委，1998-2001年度擔任地區訓練人，2001年至今擔任地區擴展主委。Wanderlino建立了20個扶輪社。

Wanderlino received the Paulo V.C. Costa International Award.  He is a Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary Foundation Benefactor.
