Of the many forces for good in our complex, stressed world, none is stronger than Our Rotary Foundation. We can accomplish what other groups cannot. Rotary is represented in most countries, religions, ethnicities, and political factions. Our volunteer work and our contributions to TRF are the best legacy we can give to our children, our grandchildren, and our communities

Phil is principal of SilverLode Associates, a research and planning firm. He served as high school counselor, teacher, and principal. He has also been a federal program policy planning specialist and a private-sector management consultant in Washington, D.C. For the past 25 years, Phil has worked in higher education—at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, U.S. Military Academy West Point, and Pima Community College District, where he is Vice-Chancellor Emeritus.

        A Rotarian since 1986, Phil is a member of the Rotary club of Tucson Sunrise. He served as club president for the Rotary club of Tucson in 1994. He is currently District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, and the Arizona Tri-district PETS Trainer.

Phil and his Rotary partner/spouse, Kathleen, have started two highly successful Rotary clubs in Russia.  He chaired the third Annual Rotary in Russia conference in 1999, and spoke at the Presidential Peace Forum in St. Petersburg. Phil was named Zone 25 Most Outstanding PDG for Rotary’s Global Quest in 2001-02. He recently led Rotary’s first all-indigenous GSE to Western Australia; did a New Opportunities Grant University Exchange to Russian; participated in a NID in India, and served as District 5500 representative to the 2004 Council on Legislation.

Phil and Kathleen are Foundation benefactors, Major Donors, Bequest Society and Paul Harris Society members, and donors to a TRF Advised Fund.
