What The Rotary Foundation means to me now and for the future

扶輪基金現在與未來對我有什麼意義

Our Rotary Foundation conjures many pictures: smiling children, saved from starvation by Our Foundation; women in mountain villages who have been taught how to feed their families and get micro-loans because of Our Foundation; parents, watching their children receive the life saving polio vaccine because of Our Foundation; a world at peace because of the Peace Scholars of Our Foundation. I see Rotarians world wide, supporting Our Rotary Foundation and its work.

Carolyn retired in 1994 after 35 years of teaching. She has since embarked on a successful career in real estate, associated with Century 21 Realtors. She is active in her church, serving as a Vestry member and vice-chair for Grace Episcopal Church. Carolyn has also served as the chair of the Realtor Community Service Committee, and she is on the membership task force for the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce.

A Rotarian since 1988, Carolyn is a member of the Rotary club of Dalton, where she served as club president in 1990-91. She has held the chair of almost every committee in her district since her year as governor. From 1997 to the present she has worked as a member of the Zone Foundation committee in some capacity for four directors.

She as served as facilitator, training leader, and chairperson for the Northeast Multi-district PETS, and served multiple terms as District Trainer. Carolyn is a member of the committee for the Northeast LINK program and was the keynote speaker in 2004. She heads the Zone 31-32 Foundation Training Team.

Carolyn is a recipient of the Citation for Meritorious Service. She is a Paul Harris Fellow, Foundation benefactor, and Major Donor. In her free time she enjoys producing and directing musical variety shows.
