Background:
TFL 2006 screened 2350 rural women and detected 161 pre-cancer and
cancer. Most of patients (>100) were referred by local hospital and had
appropriate treatment at Cancer Hospital of Ulaanbaatar. Few women (10)
came and treated at Daffodil Clinic on charity basis. But still we had
some women with no resources to come Ulaanbaatar for treatment. Once it
was detected at early and pre-cancer stages the proper treatment should
be done principally. It¡¦s a paramount importance for cervical cancer
prevention.
Purpose:
Providing the pre-cancer treatment for untreated rural women.
Outcome:
25 women underwent electrosurgery procedures for treatment of cervical
pre-cancer lesion. As result 90% of TFL 2006 detected women had
treatment currently.
Evaluation:
Follow up and evaluation will be done yearly by TFL tours in
collaboration with provincial hospital. Final report should be done
after 5 year.
