Organizing Chairman Message My dear friends, Greetings from Singapore! It was really nice to meet up with all of you again in Manila and I really appreciate the chance to renew our warm friendship. On behalf of Convenor PRIVP Gary Huang, I wish to thank all of you for your help in agreeing to be promoters in your various zones. Your job is a very important one and will impact the success of the Singapore institute. As you are all very experienced PDGs you will know best how to promote the 2003 institute in your own way. This is one of many emails which serves to keep you informed of the progress of the Organising Committee and to update you on any changes. To be effective, I need to know if the email addressed to you is correct. So, If you don't mind, PLEASE SEND ME A SHORT REPLY WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS EMAIL The Organising Committee has planned to establish a web-site for the 2003 Institute. As soon as this is done, we will inform you of the URL so that you can inform your Rotarians to log-on. On the subject of web-site. I would like to congratualte PDG Dens for his very quick action. He has already set up a section in his own web-site to promote the 2003 institute. Thank you PDG Dens.We expect many will come from Taiwan. (300 maybe?) Please note that in the 2003 institute we will be alloting a special item in the program for the "Sister Club Signing Ceremony" This was very successfully done in Manila and PRIVP Gary would like this to be on the program next year. Also from suggestions received, we will have a "showcase" of all Rotary projects pertaining to Matching Grants completed in the various districts. Each district will be allocated some space in the Official venue to show what they have done. Clubs/Districts may also hightlight projects where they need help to secure DDF grants. We can create a "mini market-place" much like what is now done in Anaheim for club/districts seeking Matching grant partners. For the spouse program, we already have an Internationally known author to speak on "FENG SHUI". This promisses to be a very hot topic. There will be a large area set up in the official venue for the HOUSE OF FRIENDSHIP with free-flow of tea/coffee and snacks. That is all for now. If you have any suggestions, please let me know and we will do our best to accomodate, to ensure that the 2003 Institute will be a success. Thank you for your time and PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO SEND ME A SHORT REPLY so that I know you have received this email.
