國際扶輪2003-04年度理事介紹
理事會是國際扶輪的行政機構。其19名成員包括國際扶輪社長、社長當選人、以及由各扶輪社提名並於國際年會選出的17名理事。理事會依據國際扶輪的章程及細則之規定，控制與管理國際扶輪各項事務和經費。為求持續，每位理事的任期為2年。2003-04年度的理事會有9位理事為任期中的第1年，8位為任期中的第2年，由12個國家的扶輪領導人組成。

Jonathan Majiyagbe is a senior advocate of Nigeria and principal counsel in J.B. Majiyagbe & Co. He is a member of the Honourable Body of Benchers and has served on the interim judicial service committee of Kano State. He is a past vice president of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the International Bar Association. He was a longtime chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Kano and is chairman of the Kano branch of the Red Cross Society. He has served as trustee of the Kano Lebanon Club and the Kano Club. He is also a member of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines, and Agriculture. A Rotarian since 1967, Majiyagbe is a member of the Rotary Club of Kano. He has served RI as district governor, International Assembly instructor, committee member and chairman, aide to the president, director, and Foundation trustee. He is chairman of the RI Board of Directors. Majiyagbe is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service and its Distinguished Service Award.

Glenn Estess is past president of the Birmingham Sales & Marketing Executives Association and the Alabama Association of Personnel Consultants. He is a past chairman of the Baptist Medical Centers. Estess has been a Rotarian since 1960 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Shades Valley. He has served RI as district governor, International Assembly discussion leader and moderator, committee member and chairman, Rotary information counselor, aide to the president, Foundation trustee, director, and vice president. Frank Collins retired as corporate vice president of organization and management development for Travelers Insurance after 35 years. He now serves as vice chairman of Connecticut VNA, trustee of the MCTC Foundation, and member of the boards of Riverfront Recapture, Greater Hartford Tourism, and lifetime member of the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the World Future Society and the American Association of Individual Investors. A Rotarian since 1970, Collins has served RI as district governor, International Assembly discussion leader, zone institute general chairman, and zone institute trainer. Cardinale owns Albatros International Graphics and is a former editor in chief of the Italian regional magazine, Rotary. He began his career as an attorney, joined the Ministry of Industry, and later became an oil company manager and member of the provincial and regional Petrol Union committees. A Rotarian since 1971, he is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Firenze Brunelleschi. Cardinale has served RI as district governor, committee member and chairman, International Assembly training leader, zone institute trainer and trainers' chairman, task force member and zone coordinator, RI president's representative, and delegate to the Council on Legislation in 1995 and 2001. Ron Beaubien is president of Island Insurance Services, a full-service insurance agency, and also a director of the Bank of Coronado (California). He has been president/chair-man of the local chamber of commerce, Coronado Hospital Foundation, the Little League board, and San Diego Crime Commission. In 1993, Beaubien and his wife were presented the Coronado Distinguished Citizen Award for outstanding and long-term service to their community. John Eberhard is a retired lawyer formerly specializing in litigation and aviation and business law. He is now president of a telecommunications company, Virtual Professionals, Inc. He has served on Canada's Civil Aviation Tribunal and is a member of the Greater London International Airport Authority. In 1984, he was the recipient of an Honorary Queen's Counsel for the Province of Ontario. A Rotarian since 1971, Eberhard has served RI as district governor, Council on Legislation member-at-large, training leader, committee member, steering committee member, and zone task force coordi-nator. He is the founder of the International Fellowship of Canoeing Rotarians. In 2002-03, Eberhard was a member of the RI Committee to Simplify Constitutional Documents and coordinator of the 2003 Brisbane Convention Promotion Committee Zone 22 Subcommittee. John Germ is president and chief executive officer of Campbell & Associates, Inc., consulting engineers. He joined the firm as an engineer in 1965 after four years in the U.S. Air Force. He is a registered engineer licensed in 40 states and Canada. In Chattanooga, he has been active as the president of the chamber of commerce and campaign chairman of the United Way. He has served on several community boards and is a past president of the Tennessee Jaycees. Germ joined Rotary in 1976 and has served RI as district governor, committee member, delegate to the Council on Legislation, task force zone and area coordinator, membership zone coordinator, and training leader. Mike McCullough, who is president of M&M Printing, Inc., has been in the printing and publishing business since 1967. He has served the city of Trenton as mayor pro tem, councilman, director of the Economic Development Corporation, and as commissioner for the Zoning Board of Appeals. He is also a member of the Arbor Hospice Advisory Board. A Rotarian since 1974, he has served RI as district governor, International Assembly discussion leader, sergeant-at-arms, task force member, and zone coordinator. David Morgan is director of a property development company. A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, he previously worked in local government and was later in private practice in South Wales for some 30 years. He served as the president of RIBI in 1994-95. In addition, he has served RI as district governor, International Assembly group discussion leader, committee chairman and member, zone coordinator, task force chairman and member, and Rotary International membership coordinator. He has also been a Humanitarian Grants CADRE technical coordinator for low-cost shelters.

Sam Okudzeto is a senior advocate of Ghana, the proprietor of Sena Chambers. Former president, treasurer, and assistant and acting secretary of the Ghana Bar Association, he also served as president of the regional branch of that organization. He has been national president of the Ghana Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, president of the Association of Recognized Professional Bodies of Ghana, and a member of the Constituent Assembly of Ghana. Okudzeto was a member of Parliament and national chairman of the Public Account Committee of the Parliament of Ghana and international member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. He has been a member of the Prisons Service Council of Ghana, the General Legal Council, the Judicial Council of Ghana, and currently a member of the Central Bank Board and president of the Bible Society. He became a Rotarian in 1967. He has served RI as district governor, International Assembly discussion leader, area coordinator, regional session leader, and committee member and chairman. Coelho de Oliveira, a medical urologist, was municipal secretary of health of the Regional Medicine Council of São Paulo state and a regional director of Unimed, a national cooperative of physicians. Mike Pinson is president of Mike Pinson's Aircraft Sales. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He teaches American history at a local college, runs a center for mentally challenged adults, and is active in his local church. A Rotarian since 1981, Pinson is a member of the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights, Texas. He has served RI as district governor, training leader, zone coordinator, and delegate to the Council on Legislation. Pinson is a recipient of RI's Service Above Self Award and The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service. David Roper is the senior partner in a law firm specializing in commercial and probate law. Roper has served as chairman of his community's leadership committee and as a director of the local chamber of commerce. He is a deacon in the Baptist Church, a member of the Georgia Master 4-H Club, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. A member of the Rotary Club of Martinez-Evans since its charter in 1975, Roper has served RI as district governor, committee member, task force zone coordinator, regional membership seminar leader, and GSE team leader. He is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Award. Both he and his wife, a registered nurse, have immunized children for PolioPlus. Ómar Steindórsson is a member of the quality assurance department of Icelandair, the Icelandic trans- Atlantic airline. He has worked in numerous positions since 1964, both on the ground and in the air as a flight crew member. He has served several terms as board director for the Keflavík Cancer Society. A Rotarian since 1967, Steindórsson has served RI as district governor and RI president's representative at a number of district conferences. In 1992, he lead a Group Study Exchange team to Brisbane, Australia. He also served as GSE chairman for District 1360 for several years. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Keflavík. Kozo Sugo is head of his own law firm in Osaka. In 1974, he was appointed as a judge of the Family Court of Kobe District Court. He has chaired the stand-ing committee and the reorganization special committee of the Osaka Bar Association. In 1992, the chief justice of the Supreme Court presented Sugo with a special award in recognition of his outstanding efforts to educate young lawyers, and he received a Blue Ribbon Medal in 1998. He served as president of the Parent-Teacher Association of Osaka Prefectural Kitano High School. A member of the Rotary Club of Osaka North since 1969, Sugo has served RI as district governor and task force zone coordinator. Sakuji Tanaka, a chairman of the nation-al Household Papers Distribution Association of Japan, is chairman of the Daika Company. He has been a charter member of the Rotary Club of Yashio since 1975. He has served RI as district governor, training leader, regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, and committee member. Tanaka is a past member of the Rotary World Peace Scholars Selection and District Conference Review committees. He is a member of the Permanent Fund Committee for Japan. Stan Tempelaars is head of the department of sonology and music registration at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Formerly, he was a researcher, teacher, and administrative director at the Institute of Sonology, Utrecht University, and chairman of the national Audio Engineering Society. Currently, he is a board member of Cals College Nieuwegen and a member of the advisory committee for an arts organization in The Hague. John Thorne was a school principal for 33 years. He then worked in value-added travel for seniors. He held senior office in several professional associations, including the Special Schools Principals Association, the Disability Advisory Council of Tasmania, the Australian Council for Educational Administration, and the Australian Deafness Council. Most recently, Thorne was president of the Australian and New Zealand College for Seniors. After serving as a Rotary Foundation Scholar in 1978, Thorne became a member of the Rotary Club of North Hobart in 1979. He has served RI as a district governor and the South-west Pacific area as regional Rotary Foundation coordinator and chair of two Rotary zone institutes. He has been active as a volunteer in Fiji, India, and the Philippines. He is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service, the Distinguished Service Award, and the Scholar Alumni Service Award. [Spouse: Shirley]
