When the final numbers came in, District 3740 (Korea) was first on The Rotary Foundation's 2001-02 list of top 50 districts ranked by annual giving per capita. With a contribution per Rotarian of US$222.57, District 3740's performance reflects the overall success of the annual giving campaign in Korea, where all but one of the country's 17 districts achieved their fundraising goals.

美國夏威夷的5000地區則以每人平均218.85美元屈居基金會年度捐獻排行榜亞軍。在上述兩地區，年度捐獻運動的成果完全是因為基層的強烈動機。

District 5000 of Hawaii, USA, was the runner-up on the Foundation's annual giving list, with a per capita of $218.85. In both districts, the outcome of the annual giving campaign was determined by the degree of motivation at the grassroots level.

清州(Cheongju)扶輪社社長Jae Woon Jeong說：「我自決定要社內所有社員共同支持扶輪基金的計劃。」該社創下亮眼的地區捐贈記錄，平均每位社員捐獻1562.50美元。而社員們得知募款運動是由同社社員、前3740地區總監Eung Jong You領導，更是備受激勵。

"We were determined to involve every member of our club in supporting the programs of The Rotary Foundation," said Jae Woon Jeong, president of the Rotary Club of Cheongju, which posted an impressive district giving record of $1,562.50 per Rotarian. They were also motivated by the fact that one of their members, Past District 3740 Governor Eung Jong You, was leading the campaign.

不過Jeong社長相信，他們的成就絕不會曇花一現。他說：「我期許敝社能持續做個傑出扶輪服務的模範生。」

But Jeong believes that theirs was much more than a one-time achievement. "I would like our club to continue to be a model of outstanding Rotary service," he says.

夏威夷檀香山日落(Honolulu Sunset)扶輪社70位社員也有一股類似的強烈意志，聯手寫下每人平均年度捐獻金額694.77美元的最高紀錄，勇冠5000地區所有扶輪社。他們將成功歸因於推動豐富的獎勵方式、不同的募款活動，和有關基金會計劃的進修教育，來保持社員的熱情和投入。

A similar go-getter attitude prevails among the 70 members of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset, Hawaii, which produced the highest annual giving per capita ($694.77) of all the clubs in District 5000. They attribute their success to maintaining member interest and participation through a wide range of rewards, various fundraising efforts, and continued education about Foundation programs.

社長喬艾特(Karyl Choate)說：「創社6年來，我們靠著這些努力四度獲選為5000地區年度扶輪社，不斷在本地區的扶輪基金會捐獻上樹立榜樣。」

"Through these efforts, we have been recognized as Club of the Year in District 5000, four of the six years of our existence, and we continually set the pace in our district in Foundation giving," says club president Karyl Choate.
