Additional training on cultivating and soliciting major gifts for the Rotary Centers will be a significant component of this plan and requires taking advantage of training and educational opportunities presented throughout the Rotary year, including the International Assembly, the International Convention, Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator training, Permanent Fund Committee meetings, trainings organized by Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinators for Major Gifts Advisors and District Permanent Fund Chairs.

In addition to incorporating specific information on major gifts for the Rotary Centers into the training already being done on multiple levels, the development of special training sessions to be held at the Secretariat and regionally during the 2006-07 Rotary year are being planned.  Regional trainings conducted for the Polio Eradication Fundraising Campaign will serve as the model.

A calendar of possible communications, major events, training opportunities, stewardship activities, tasks and goals relating to the major gifts effort within these two phases is being developed.  These activities will energize, involve and help focus efforts on identifying, cultivating and soliciting gifts for the Rotary Centers.
