To honor Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary International, and to
recognize the 50th anniversary of his death, the Rotary Centers for
International Studies were approved in 1997. The first class of 66
fellows was announced in 2002, and they began their studies the
same year. Now, five years later, we are proud to have four
classes of Rotary World Peace Fellow alumni — 232 graduates practicing
conflict resolution and peace-building around the world.
